Amy
Certified Veterinary Technician
Amy was born in Illinois, raised in Walworth, Wisconsin, and now lives in Jackson, Wisconsin, where she’s been for the past 4–5 years. She shares her life with her husband and two daughters, ages 7 and 3. Their family also includes a one-year-old mixed-breed dog named Potato and a four-year-old domestic shorthair cat named Nyx.
Growing up, Amy was active in FFA, bowling leagues, soccer, and tennis. Her love for animals and interest in medicine started early, as she volunteered in animal shelters at just 10 years old. With 7–8 years of experience in veterinary medicine, Amy now works as a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT).
“I love working with animals, people, and solving problems. Being able to help others is my biggest motivator.”
Amy holds a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from UW-Platteville and has previously worked as a Certified Humane Officer in Wisconsin. She’s now setting her sights on earning a Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) certification to continue advancing her skills.
In her free time, Amy plays hockey recreationally—a passion she recently started—and helps coach her daughters, who are also hockey players.
Amy’s dedication to helping others and her passion for learning make her an invaluable part of the CARE Surgery Center team.
