Dr. Kevin Kroner

Medical Director of Wisconsin

Dr. Kevin Kroner was born and raised in Wisconsin and obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He attended the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2012 with high honors. Committed to the specialty of surgery, he pursued an internship in small animal surgery/medicine at Colorado State University and continued his training at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he completed his surgical residency.

Dr. Kroner became board-certified in 2017 and has contributed to research in areas such as angular limb deformity assessment, TPLO healing, gastroesophageal reflux disease in brachycephalic dogs and topical therapy for wound management. He has presented at national conferences including The Society of Veterinary Soft Tissue Surgery and American College of Veterinary Surgeons Symposium.

He has extensive training in both soft-tissue and orthopedic surgery with particular interest in arthroscopy, fracture management, minimally-invasive techniques and abdominal/thoracic procedures. He worked as an attending surgeon at a high-volume referral hospital in Southeastern WI from 2016-2023.

Including his wife, their three children and yellow lab, the Kroner family stays busy with sporting events, visiting the Northwoods and enjoying all that Wisconsin has to offer. Dr. Kroner is proud to partner with CARE Surgery Center and bring the highest quality veterinary care to his hometown of Brookfield.
